Roof repair in Colorado Springs

Water does not enter a roof where it shows up on your ceiling. Finding the real entry point is most of the job.

The stain is not the leak

Water travels along decking, rafters and insulation before it finds somewhere to drop. The wet patch on your ceiling is where it ran out of roof to travel along, and it can be several feet from where it got in. Chasing the stain is how a leak gets 'repaired' three times and still leaks.

Where roofs actually fail

Flashing at walls and chimneys, pipe boots that have gone brittle in the sun, valleys, and nail pops. On Front Range roofs the sun does as much damage as the weather does — UV at 6,000 ft is hard on anything rubber.

When we will tell you not to repair it

If the field is at the end of its life, a repair buys months and costs money you would rather put toward the replacement. If a storm caused it, a repair can also complicate a claim you would have won. We would rather say so at the inspection than take the small job.
